In run-away ads, portraits, genre art, advertisements and theft reports, we find handkerchiefs of many descriptions. Worn by women and men for fashion and practicality throughout the 18th century and into the 19th century. Our White Cotton Handkerchief is extremely fine and sheer, and closely matches original India cottons we have examined.
